ORI Updates

ORI released forecasts for three funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) for research integrity grants, including a new Program Development and Evaluation (PDE) program. ORI will continue to support the Research on Research Integrity (RRI) and the Research Integrity Conferences (RIC) grant programs.

This free workshop will explore issues around conceptions of privacy, ways to protect data confidentiality, and how IRBs and review bodies can learn more about protections and ethical oversight of important research.

Alexander Runko, Ph.D., starting Aug. 4, will be the new Director of ORI’s Division of Investigative Oversight (DIO).

Adm. Brett P. Giroir, M.D., HHS Assistant Secretary for Health, announced today that Elisabeth Handley will join the Office of Research Integrity as the Interim Director.

Dr. Wanda Jones, who was ORI's Interim Director, has been permanently named as ORI's Deputy Director and will serve as Acting Director.

Co-organized with Northwestern University and Council of Graduate Schools, this conference provides a forum for senior institutional officials to openly discuss their roles for promoting research integrity and preventing misconduct. VPRs, Deans, and other senior officials are encouraged to join this very informative meeting. The event will be held in Chicago, IL on May 22-23, 2019.
