Retractions Conference: July 20 - July 22, 2016
Funded by an ORI grant, Colorado State University is holding a conference that brings together researchers, journal editors, universities, Research Integrity Officers, and those from the ORI, NSF, and Watchdog groups to discuss how to identify fraudulent submissions, whistleblowing, responsibility and ethics, retraction notices, and relevant forensic tools. $350 Early Bird Registration is available until May 9th.

Sequestration Conference at Indiana University: March 30 - April 1, 2016
This conference addresses sequestration, a critical procedure in handling allegations of research misconduct. Research Integrity Officers, IT forensic experts, security officers, general counsel, and other institutional officials involved in research misconduct proceedings are encouraged to attend. -
The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to foster innovative approaches to empirical research on societal, organizational, group, and individual factors that affect, both positively and negatively, integrity in research. Integrity is defined as the use of honest and verifiable methods in proposing, performing, and evaluating research and reporting research results with particular attention to adherence to rules, regulations, guidelines, and commonly accepted professional codes or norms.

ORI seeks to support conferences to develop multi-disciplinary networks to build upon existing evidence-based research and stimulate innovative approaches to preventing research misconduct and promoting research integrity.

ORI is seeking applicants with experience administering the Public Health Service Policies on Research Misconduct, 42 C.F.R. Part 93 or other federal research regulations. The position is within the Division of Education and Integrity with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing activities and programs to teach the responsible conduct of research, promote research integrity, and to enable institutions to respond effectively to allegations of research misconduct.
