The Office of Research Integrity full logo1 and icon2 are registered trademarks of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The full logo is composed of the representative icon and text.
These guidelines specify how the full logo and icon and their colors are to be used to create a foundation for visual unity, impact and consistency when used in print, broadcast and electronic media.
COLOR GUIDELINES
Due to the 3-D effect on the icon, use four-color process printing only. Spot colors are not necessary for print products. The following colors are the CMYK combinations which match the colors of the logo:

TYPOGRAPHY
Never recreate the logo. Do not substitute the font with another font. THE OFFICE OF is about 2/3 of the length of RESEARCH INTEGRITY. Do not change the ratio.

CLEAR SPACE
Full logo: Allow 1/5 of X (the size from the top of the logo to the bottom) spacing on all sides of the logo.
Icon only: Allow 1/5 of X (the size from the top of the icon to the bottom) spacing on all sides of the icon.
FORMATS
The logo is available in EPS, JPG, PNG and TIFF formats. JPG format is for electronic media only on white background. PNG format is for electronic media when transparent backgrounds are required. In all cases other than electronic media, EPS is the best format to be used. If unable to use EPS, you may use tiff only when transparent backgrounds are not required.

DONT'S
- Never reset, redraw or alter any element of the logo (fig. 1, fig. 8)
- Never change the layout of the logo to make it more horizontal (fig. 2, fig. 9)
- Never add other elements to the logo (fig. 3, fig. 10)
- Do not use the logo on a busy pattern or background that impairs its legibility (fig. 4, fig. 11)
- Do not produce the logo with unapproved font or color combinations (fig. 5, fig. 12)
- Do not stretch any part of the logo at any time (fig. 6, fig. 13)
- The format cannot be compromised: do not slant or rotate the logo in any way (fig. 7, fig. 14)
