The Office of Research Integrity currently has two funding opportunity announcements (FOA) for research and conferences related to research integrity.  Below are answers to frequently asked questions.

Where can I view the FOAs?

The FOAs can be viewed at Grants.gov 

What are the deadlines?

The deadline for the Phase I Research FOA is April 20, 2015

The deadline for the Conference Grants is May 15, 2015

What do the 20 pages of the application include?

The 20 pages of the application includes the science plan only.  References, letters of support, and other supporting documents are not included as part of the 20 page application.

Are indirect costs included?

The Phase I Research grants have a $75,000 ceiling for direct costs.  The Research Conference grants have a ceiling of $50,000.  Indirect funding may be applied in addition to the direct costs. Please see the FOAs for more information about indirect funding.

Who will review my application?

Applications will be reviewed by social scientists who have expertise in community designed studies and university officials experienced in dealing with research misconduct and/or teaching RCR.

Can my graduate students and post docs apply?

YES! ORI strongly encourages young researchers to apply for these grants.

The Letter of Intent date has past.  Can I still get assistance from ORI on conceptualizing the research?
