This conference will cover a variety of topics including informed consent and the teach back method, managing multi-center trials, and the use of single IRB, as well as the handling of conflict of interest issues and others. Additionally, representatives of OHRP will be onsite to answer questions, explain the HHS regulatory requirements, and provide news and policy updates.

“Getting through Human Research Reviews with Skill”

This workshop targets are investigators, clinical coordinators and other research personnel who are relatively new to the arena of research involving human subjects, their biospecimens or data. It aims to provide participants with the skill and knowledge necessary to have their NIH grant applications and research protocols pass reviews for human research protections. It will focus on clarifying confusions and providing participants with practical tips and solutions to problems and difficulties commonly encountered during such reviews.
