The Research Oversight Legal Team of the Office of the General Counsel, HHS, oversees ORI's legal operations which include:
- representing the office in administrative hearings before the Departmental Appeals Board (DAB),
- drafting regulatory and legislative initiatives,
- and providing advice and counsel to ORI's oversight and education divisions.
