Below is an update on potential grant applicants for ORI′s Funding Opportunity Announcement (http://www.grants.gov/view-opportunity.html?oppId=248593) for research on the Responsible Conduct of Research and Research Integrity.
Salary Limitation Update:
The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014 (P.L. 113-76) limits the salary amount that may be awarded and charged to HHS/OASH grants and cooperative agreements. Award funds may not be used to pay the salary of an individual at a rate in excess of Executive Level II. Currently, the Executive Level II salary of the Federal Executive Pay scale is $181,500. This amount reflects an individual’s base salary exclusive of fringe and any income that an individual may be permitted to earn outside of the duties to the applicant organization. This salary limitation also applies to sub-awards/subcontracts under an HHS/ OASH grant or cooperative agreement.
