ORI, in partnership with the University of Rochester, will host the next Research Integrity Officer (RIO) Boot Camp on September 2-4, 2026, in Rochester, New York.
This 2½-day workshop is designed for Research Integrity Officers (RIOs), institutional counsel, and research administrators responsible for managing research misconduct proceedings. The Boot Camp provides practical instruction on institutional responsibilities under the 2024 Public Health Service Policies on Research Misconduct and the research misconduct case management process. Space is limited.
Topics include:
- Roles and responsibilities of Research Integrity Officers.
- Requirements under the 2024 Public Health Service Policies on Research Misconduct.
- Managing research misconduct proceedings.
- ORI guidance, resources, and best practices.
- Case studies and discussions with ORI staff and experienced RIOs.
- Opportunities to network with colleagues from research institutions across the country.
Registrants will have opportunities to engage with ORI staff, ask questions, and exchange ideas with colleagues who manage research integrity programs at their institutions.
