Five awards were made by the Research on Research Integrity (RRI) Program in response to 41 applications received. The awards were supported by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NGMS) the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and ORI.
Total funding for the sixth round (new and continuations) totaled $3.07 million, the highest in the six-year program. The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, the National Institute of Nursing Research, NCI, NHGRI, and NGMS contributed $1.32 million, AHRQ provided $225,750, and ORI added $1.52 million. The maximum direct costs were limited to $175,000 per year for 2 years.
