CONFIDENTIALITY
1. Keeping information private.

By talking to people about their lives, we learn a lot of personal information about them. People might also tell us sensitive things about others. For instance, we might learn that someone is a drug user or HIV positive. You are responsible for keeping this information private.

Be careful with any research papers with names or other personal information on them. Only the research team should see the research documents.

Keeping confidentiality is part of the Belmont Report's Principle of Respect.
