Be constructive. Reviewers
should use good judgment in distinguishing significant concerns from personal
preferences. They should be cautious about setting standards for work
they review at a substantially higher level than what they apply to their
own. Reviewers should strive to see the author’s perspective. If
negative comments are necessary, reviewers should work to identify positive
attributes of the work to offer a balanced critique.
