Upon receipt of a misconduct allegation, the VPRPS forms a team to conduct an inquiry into the allegation.
The inquiry team gathers preliminary information to discover if a formal investigation is warranted, and issues a report to the VPRPS documenting whether there is cause to pursue a formal investigation into the case.
