ARO staff conduct general training sessions on the humane care and use of vertebrate animals at the beginning of each semester. All faculty, staff, and students involved in the care and use of vertebrate animals must attend a training session.
In addition, ARO staff conduct individual or group training for new personnel upon request, including training in specific procedures, animal handling techniques, surgery, anesthesia, and experimental manipulations.
