A fourth year tenured track faculty member, is feeling pressured to submit an article for publication before the fifth year review. While conducting analyses on a recently completed study, the faculty member discoverd that some of the data does not support a portion of the major hypotheses. In spite of the fact that the majority of the data appears to support the major research hypotheses, the faculty anticipates that listing the negative finding is likely to raise questions by reviewers concerning the interpretation and conclusions.
