Things sometimes go wrong, and researchers can make mistakes. If something in the protocol makes you uncomfortable, tell your supervisor about it right away. If something about the protocol does not seem right to you, suggest a way to fix it.

It is important to follow the protocol carefully. If you can’t do this for any reason, let your supervisor know.

You should also tell your supervisor if you or someone else makes a mistake in following the protocol.
