At UNH, the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) is the administrative body that oversees the institution's program for the humane care and use of animals, including facilities.
The IACUC has the authority to:
- Approve, require modification of, or disapprove all activities that fall under its jurisdiction
- Suspend approval of activities involving animals not conducted in accordance with applicable provisions of the AWA, USPHS Policy, the Guide, or UNH's Assurance
