Disclosure of Conflict of Interest (COI)

While conflict is a common human experience, it can become an issue in research integrity when the conflicts (financial, personal, political), are between interest and duties. According to Shamoo (1992, 1993) and Resnik (2001), most of the concerns with COIs arise because personal interest can undermine duties relating to scientific objectivity.
