The manner in which data is presented can clarify or obscure research findings. Descriptive/summary statistics are used to represent different aspects of a research sample. These statistics include counts/frequencies, measures of central tendencies, and variation. It is essential for researchers to select the most appropriate statistic(s) to give readers an accurate assessment of the findings.
