Color Adjustments
 

Two proteins in these cells were dyed, and the resulting color in the original confocal image (top) is an indication of whether or not the proteins co-localize. Since the precise color observed in the image is essential to conclusions made, color adjustment should not be performed and the adjustments that created the altered image (bottom) are unacceptable.
