ORI Announces 2026 Event Co-sponsorship Opportunities
The Office of Research Integrity (ORI) is excited to announce 2026 co-sponsorship opportunities. ORI's mission is to preserve the integrity of scientific research through principles of transparency, rigor, and reproducibility, facilitating breakthroughs that enhance global public health. ORI envisions a research landscape where trust in science flourishes, driven by integrity, compliance, and accountability in every aspect of the research process.
ORI regularly holds co-sponsored events with non-federal institutions that envision novel and innovative ways to enhance the integrity of the scientific enterprise.
"Public trust is essential,” said ORI Director Sheila Garrity. "Federally funded research affects all of us.” Co-sponsored events help ORI promote a gold standard for science to ensure that federally funded research is transparent, rigorous, and impactful.
How to Apply
ORI co-sponsors events based on the fiscal year calendar, which falls between October 1 the previous year and September 30. Potential co-sponsors can apply throughout the year.
Interested non-federal organizations must submit:
- A one-to-two paragraph statement expressing why ORI should select this institution, including the institution’s leadership, based on the institution’s work in research integrity and the responsible conduct of research.
- An outline that covers topics listed on the ORI Co-sponsorship webpage.
ORI co-sponsored events are typically moderate in size, accepting between 20-150 attendees convened in person or virtually for one to three days. ORI evaluates co-sponsorship applications based on the applicant’s qualifications, suitability, available resources, and other criteria. Learn more here.
