Although subjects' contributions to the research must be kept confidential, researchers should not guarantee absolute confidentiality to subjects.

Subjects should be informed that, in rare instances (e.g., during an investigation of a complaint), information from the study may be shared with:

  • Officials at UNH
  • Designees of the sponsor(s)
  • Other appropriate government agencies
