Researchers
conducting studies involving human subjects have, but are not limited
to, ten primary responsibilities. They must:
- Acknowledge
and accept responsibility for protecting the rights and welfare of human
subjects in their studies
- Comply
with applicable institutional policies and government regulations
- Delay
involvement of human subjects until written approval without contingencies
has been received from the IRB
- Possess
adequate skills and adhere to high ethical standards
