Unethical methods of data manipulation (cont.):
- Fabrication: Creating data that have not been observed or collected, or that are not supported by experimental results
- Falsification: Ignoring, modifying, or misreporting relevant data that contradict and/or do not support reported findings
At UNH fabrication and falsification are regarded
as acts of scholarly misconduct.
