Examples of activities that might constitute a conflict of interest in research include, but are not limited to:

  • As a member of a review panel, reviewing a grant on which the researcher is a paid consultant.
  • As a member of a review panel, reviewing a grant submitted by the researcher’s institution.
  • As a member of a review panel, reviewing a grant submitted by a person with whom the researcher has collaborated on publishing a book or article within a specified time period.
