Collaborative Research   Issues in Collaborative Research (cont.) 5 of 10

Researchers may face professional issues when engaged in collaborative research, especially with off-campus colleagues. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborative agreements by which researchers may be asked to abide that place restrictions on the dissemination of findings
  • The organization of many funding agencies by discipline, making the review of interdisciplinary grant proposals difficult. In addition, in fields dominated by a few large consortiums, it may be difficult to obtain objective reviews of such proposals.
