The Research Clinic

Description
The Office of Research Integrity (ORI) and the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) present The Research Clinic. The interactive training video educates clinical and social researchers on the importance of appropriately protecting research participants and avoiding research misconduct. The Research Clinic allows the viewer to assume the role of one of four characters and determines the outcome of the storyline by selecting decision-making choices for each “playable” character.
The CharactersIn this simulation, you get to become a principal investigator, a clinical research coordinator, a research assistant, and an institutional review board (IRB) chair and make decisions that affects the outcome of the story. | |

training should be on CD/DVD
Please provide this Training on a CD/DVD. We have a medium speed DSL line, but the access is much too slow.
Request to copy
Can we copy the video to disc?
The right move in each
The right move in each instance appears obvious and over simplifys the process of informed consent. In most instances self-service is in the forefront although other intents are mentioned as being in play.

Serious trouble loading videos
This looks like it might be a great tool, but about half of the "choices" don't lead to working videos. It's very frustrating and I'd love to know a solution. I've talked to my IT support and they have diagnosed my system -- it's not me, so it might be the videos??
iPad iPhone compatibility
re: iPad iPhone compatibility
ORI is interested in making The Research Clinic and The Lab accessible by mobile devices, but it's unlikely to happen in the near future.

I like the video!
I think as me, many people in Latin American could use this great tool; unfortunately (it is my case) I need Spanish or English subtitles. The Lab is fantastic! Is it posible to place close caption to GCP´s video?
Thanks so much..!
The Research Clinic Video
All I can view is the trailer when I select full video. How do I access the entire video?

The full video begins after the introduction/trailer.
CD/DVD Copy Request
Can I get a copy of the video. I think it will be helpfull to train my research students.
DVDs of The Research Clinic
DVDs of The Research Clinic are not currently available. We are working on the logistics of making DVDs available.
Completion Certificate
I am enjoying the video. Staff with some research certifications could use this course for continuing education credit, if we could provide proof of participation. We don't need a formal CEU certificate, just a record that they participated. Is there a participation certificate or completion certificate available? Thank you
Unfortunately, ORI does not
Unfortunately, ORI does not track individual usage of The Research Clinic and do not offer completion certificates.
